Escuchado en Mishima de Paul Schrader
Mishima fue una de los primeros discos que compré en CD de Philip Glass. Ya antes había conseguido varios viniles y cassettes. Aún recuerdo que el CD venía “defectuso”: tenía tres veces el librito, así que corte la portada y la puse en un cuaderno de la prepa. Hace unos días revisite la película de Paul Schrader para la que Glass compuso la banda sonora con la participación del Kronos Quartet. Las siguientes frases quedaron resonando en mi cabeza.
Las dejo tal cual aparecen en los subtítulos al inglés del DVD en la edición The Criteron Collection (está edición incluye la voz narradora en japonés, a diferencia de la versión que vi hace años en la Cineteca Nacional, donde la voz narradora está en inglés):
